Drawing inspiration from her travels, architecture and the beauty of the natural world around her, Martin launched búl with the mission to offer a more mindful approach to design, manufacturing and consumption. búl’s Fitzroy-based studio, helmed by an all-female team, brings Martin’s vision to life through partnering with small family-owned manufacturers and makers. búl chooses natural, deadstock and biodegradable fibres over man-made wherever possible, in a bid to further lessen their impact on the environment. Limited quantity runs serve a twofold purpose - minimising an excess of stock, and ensuring your búl pieces won’t be seen on every other person walking down the street.
