  • Call you unexpectedly to request payment or personal information.
  • Advice for Protecting Yourself
  • Enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) wherever possible. You can enable MFA at THE ICONIC by following the instructions on this page.
  • Be cautious when using public Wi-Fi networks for online shopping.
  • Regularly monitor your account with THE ICONIC for any unauthorised activity.
  • Remain alert to suspicious links and attempts to solicit personal information from you (including by email, phone, text, or post).
  • Be aware of signs of phishing such as urgent language, poor grammar, or unexpected attachments.
  • Do not open suspicious or unsolicited emails or open any attached files.
  • Always verify the sender of any communications received to make sure they are legitimate. This includes checking names and domains.
  • Regularly update your passwords with strong passwords and avoid re-using the same password across multiple websites and platforms.
  • Never enter personal, credit card or bank account details on a website if you're not certain it is genuine. Always check the website address as scammers can create URLs that look remarkably similar to legitimate URLs.
  • Check your bank account statements for suspicious activity and contact your bank if you see any unusual activity.
