- What happens next? Clothing is sent to Salvos Stores, then sorted and rehomed, with 100% of profits supporting the life-changing work of The Salvation Army.
Recycle
- Create a pile of your unwanted clothes that are too worn, stretched, stained or torn to be used again. A good test is "Would I be embarrassed to give this item to a friend?".
- Purchase a RCYCL bag on THE ICONIC. This is the bag for unwearable clothes, to be recycled. Once received, fill and scan the QR code on the bag to find your local drop-off point. Don’t forget to wash and dry all items before packing!
- What happens next? Clothing is consolidated by RCYCL’s recycling partners: natural fibres are reprocessed into new yarn; synthetics are made into carpet underlay.

The cost of the RCYCL bag covers shipping to recycling partners and the recycling process itself. RCYCL works with partners certified for environmental management, product quality, recycled content production and ethical working conditions.
RCYCL’s bags are certified home compostable. Recycling partners and Salvos Stores return the bags to RCYCL for bulk disposal through an industrial composting partner.
