madre natura (translating to “mother nature” in Italian) was founded by Jackie Galleghan in 2020 with the vision to create timeless, beautiful garments which embrace sustainability, circularity, ethical production and adopt a slow fashion approach.

Each collection is designed, created and produced in Sydney by a small team of artisans using exclusively sustainable and renewable materials such as deadstock and surplus fabrics and organic cotton, selected for their durability and low-environmental impact so that madre natura pieces can be loved and cherished for many years to come.

madre natura’s designs embrace the laid-back, Australian way of life with a stylistic signature that is timeless but with a nostalgic viewpoint that lends a curated and meaningful flair to the gender-fluid designs. The silhouettes have been thoughtfully created to flatter the form, while a colour palette that brims with earthy hues and natural tones speaks to a connection to Australian flora and fauna in a celebration of our own backyard.

More than a sustainable fashion label, madre natura seeks to shift our collective conscience into a more mindful and respectful attitude towards our wardrobe – one in which we buy less, buy better and keep longer and when finished, return back to be recycled once more.
