Two elementary forms meet in unfamiliar proportions: a monumental trunk below, and a slim canopy above. It’s bold in silhouette, calm in presence, the kind of piece that makes a room feel settled, like it’s found its centre of gravity.

Light behaviour

The canopy is intentionally contained, so the light doesn’t blast upward or glare across the room. Instead it falls down in a focused wash, like light filtering through leaves and landing where you actually live, on the surface beneath, across the floor, and into the surrounding space. It’s dramatic, but gentle.

Materials and build

The base is wrapped in American oak veneer over plywood, giving it real weight and presence. Above, a linen shade with a screen-printed stripe softens the form and keeps the top half tactile. Grass feels lush and calm. Dirt feels warm and earthy. A structured frame holds the shade crisp, so the proportions stay sharp from every angle.
